You learned that PKZIP and WinZip are popular compression utilities. The User Focus section of this chapter (see page 470) describes how to use WinZip. Using PKZIP is similar. For this project, you must download and unzip the file Mystery.zip from www.cciw.com/np4/project10-6.html. Then, follow the instructions in the Readme.txt file to complete the project. HINT: You can use Windows Notepad to view the contents of the Readme.txt file.
If your computer does not have PKZIP or WinZip, you'll need to download and install this software from one of the sites listed in InfoWeb 11 or from the PKWARE link below. Make sure that you abide by the license agreement when you use this software.
