Publishing: Electronic New Frontiers

Some inventions and discoveries have not only changed the trajectory of human endeavor, but have also changed the way we see the world around us. The printing press and, as many suspect, electronic publishing are two such inventions. A Framework for Electronic Publishing Issues In the May 1996 issue of CMC Magazine, John December reviews the book Scholarly Publishing: The Electronic Frontier edited by Robin P. Peek and Gregory B. Newby (MIT Press, 1996). The book outlines the issues facing electronic publishers, and December's review summarizes and comments on those issues.
