A wealth of government information-both federal and state-exists on the Internet. The single best index to federal government Internet resources is the Federal Web Locator at www.infoctr.edu/fwl/. This Web site has a search engine that uses agency or organization names for keywords. Here you will find links to the legislative, judicial, and executive branches of government; executive agencies and departments; government corporations; consortia and quasi-official agencies; federal boards, commissions, and committees; international sites; and other federally-related sites. Another helpful index to government sites is the University of California's Infomine section on Government Information at lib-www.ucr.edu/govpub/. This searchable index can also be browsed by an alphabetized table of contents. Finally, FedWorld at www.fedworld.gov/ is a searchable online database of information disseminated by the federal government.
