You can find an excellent summary of copyright and NII Issues (click "Overview"), links to current legislation and court cases, and a link to the NII intellectual property white paper (see "Overview") at the Association of Research Libraries: Copyright and Intellectual Property, www.arl.org/info/frn/copy/copytoc.html. John Perry Barlow, co-founder of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and former lyricist for the Grateful Dead, has written extensively on intellectual property issues in the Internet era. One of his more recent articles is "Let our Music Go!" at www.zdnet.com/yil/content/ mag/9710/barlow.html, in which he lays out some of the issues surrounding recent efforts to redefine copyright law as it applies to the Internet.
