Peter Drucker is known as a somewhat unorthodox analyst of business, economics, politics, and society. He is extensively quoted and has written 28 books that have been translated into more than 20 languages. One of his most recent books, Managing in a Time of Great Change (Plume, 1998), includes some insights on how information systems can help a business succeed in the emerging global market. His book Management Challenges for the 21st Century (Harperbusiness, 1999) is a must-read as the new century begins. You'll find a short biography of Drucker at www.cgu.edu/drucker hosted by the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management at Claremont Graduate University.
