3-D Graphics

One of the most exciting developments in graphics is 3-D rendering. Premier packages include AutoCad and Caligari trueSpace. To find out more about 3-D software, click the Gallery link on the Caligari site at www.caligari.com. This site also features a great collection of samples and a free trial version of the software. Persistence of Vision also hosts a site, www.povray.org/java-index.html, that contains stunning 3-D samples. While at the site, you can download a well-regarded free ray-tracing program. Computer Graphics World This Web site presents selected articles from current and back issues of the print magazine. The articles (usually the cover story) include discussions of 3D techniques and products.
